“are you comfortable?” beomgyu sweetly asked you, whilst typing on his computer.

“Mhm.” You hummed, glancing at the time in the bottom right corner of his screen. 10:40pm. “I’m almost finished.”

Both of you were doing homework. Beomgyu typing an essay on his computer, while you were studying blueprints. You were sitting on his lap to keep him company, and you just wanted to be near him. Sometimes with your busy school schedules this was the only time you got to be together; both enjoying each others company while working on assignments.

He reached down, giving your bare thigh a squeeze. It slightly startled you. You placed your hand over his, making him smirk to himself before adjusting his glasses on the bridge of his nose.

Making a whole post abt love plus bc i can only type so much in replies!(me and a mewtual are talking abt 3dses on a prev post of mine)

There are four games: love plus, love plus+, new love plus, and new love plus+ the former 2 being for nds, and the latter 2 for 3ds! I have love plus+

It basically is just an upgrade to the first one, and has a lot more content!

The conceit of love plus is that you are a japanese high schooler(it genders you as male but u can just pretend hehe) who just moved to towano, and is enrolling in towano high school.

There are 3 love interests(technically a 4th girl exists but ONLY in a defunct old app) manaka takane, kobayakawa rinko, and anegasaki nene!

The first part of the game, pre confession, is like a lot of other dating sims(i hear, i don't usually play dating sims) where you level your stats, visit locations where you might meet the love interests, and basically try to get the girl of your choice to fall in love with you! After she confesses(or after 100 days and no confession you get game end) the real game starts, and you spend your life with your chosen partner! Its actually surprisingly wholesome, its very sfw and is very sweet and endearing!

I personally chose nene, as she is the oldest at 18(and to me, shes the prettiest, but also she has a mole on her face like i do just in a dif spot) and so i could relate to her more easily(but ofc in game you are also a high schooler). Fun fact, she was actually supposed to be a college student!

I do have a save file for all 3 girls but i p much only play my nene save, as i have the most stuff unlocked w her! I really like the 'no ending' aspect bc its almost reminiscent of nintendogs but with waifus lol but also because i like open ended games that dont end bc if a game ends then i can't keep playing it lol

There is an english patch for the rom version, so if you emulate it you can play the original love plus in English! I am playing a cartridge tho, and so im playing in japanese(idk japanese i am using Google lens lolll)

I don't wanna spoil too much of the game bc your first impressions of the game and the girls is a big part of the experience, but if u have questions i will gladly answer!

1. how many works do you have on ao3?

currently 65! i've orphaned several over the years though. unfortunately i am an Extremely Slow Writer so i always wanna see this number go up and it never goes as fast as i want it to :') we can hit 67 this year... surely....

2. what's your total ao3 word count?

847,778! used to be higher (more in the 950k range) prior to orphaning, i'm not sure if i've actually written over a million words or not at this point? v excited for the day that milestone actually shows up in my stats though! my current wips could tip me over, we'll see how it goes... 👀

3. what fandoms do you write for?

currently hannibal and stranger things! i've bounced around many fandoms in my day, but my most significant contributions thus far have been for mcr/bandom and the magnus archives. really hoping i end up writing enough for my current fandoms that i can consider them part of that shortlist too!! :-)

4. top five fics by kudos

like a moth to light (like a beast to bait) / 2117 kudos, save that heart for me / 1480 kudos, how particular, my fondness of you / 1445 kudos, convicted criminals of thought / 1177 kudos, and questionable decisions / 847 kudos! wow, that last one took me by surprise, it was such a jokey little fic i often forget about it. nice to look back at these and see things with over 1k kudos though, i remember that being an unattainable pipe dream back when i was writing mcr in the dead era that was 2017 :')

5. do you respond to comments?

i often do! i try to respond to every comment i get when a fic is published, and i like to respond much later on as well, it just tends to slip my mind if it's an older fic. stuff gets lost in my inbox. i certainly read every comment though, and the comments left on older fics are often the ones that make me happiest!

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

hmmm... i mostly write happy endings unless they're character studies. the true angstiest ending i've written is for a fic i haven't posted yet (hint: it's a sequel to a oneshot of mine!) but i do have short fics about both michael and gerry's deaths in tma? i'll go with the gerry death fic, thinking of the sun.

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

they're mostly happy!!! but the one that ends most on a note of Joy, i think, would be rosemary and thyme, my fae!martin au :-)

8. do you get hate on fics?

nah. i have an extremely vague memory of getting a comment that made me go "omg my first hate comment" but like it's so vague that i can't tell if it's a false memory or not 😭 people have always been quite nice to me, thankfully!

9. do you write smut?

i do! i tried to avoid it whenever i could when i was younger but these days i've actually become super interested in sex as a vehicle for character studies. that tumblr post that's like "the plot of this smut fic is that character A believes himself abandoned by god" is one HUNDRED percent my approach recently, definitely expect some of that upcoming on my ao3 lolll

10. craziest crossover?

i don't really write crossovers! i like them in comic/fanart form, but i tend to be less interested in crossover fic (unless it's HEU, i do quite like spacedogs)... the only times i've ever thought about creating crossover content myself were for a couple pacrim fusion ideas!

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

eh, not really. a long time ago i did have someone basically rip the worldbuilding from one of my AUs with the serial numbers filed off, but they did ask permission - i said yes because i was like 16 and felt too awkward saying no. so that was weird! but not quite stealing.

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

yes!! to steal a kiss from borrowed lips was translated into russian, such an honor :D

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

i have, a really long time ago. i don't think i would do it again (unless it was with, like, one of two specific irls) bc i think i'd struggle with figuring out a collaborative workflow. part of me also thinks it could be a fun exercise though...

14. all time favorite ship?

OUGH..... mannnn what a question. it changes every few years and i feel like my response is influenced by not just the source material, but the quality of the fan content and the fandom interactions i've had... you know what? i know i have current-hyperfixation bias, but for now i am gonna say hannigram. it's just too peak.

15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Too Many Of Them - but in particular, my chrissy cunningham-centric longfic. it's an entire treatise on sapphic loneliness and small-town queer isolation and i do think it'd be a fucking masterpiece if i ever managed to commit to it, but it's on the forever back-burner i think.

16. what are your writing strengths?

hmm... characterization through dialogue is the main thing, i'd say. i'm always thinking about how to match a given character's speech patterns and i think i tend to capture their voices pretty well!

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

i'm my own biggest critic so i could list a bunch, but pacing is a big one. i tend to let things run too long and i feel like i've only just managed to balance it better in my current wip... only took a decade of fic-writing to get there 😭

18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?

depends a lot on context. honestly too many thoughts to condense well into an answer for this djglfg but in short: usually nice if it's just a few words, but can get unwieldy otherwise

19. first fandom you wrote in?

kuroshitsuji 💀 self-insert and OC-centric fic. how very unlike me

20. favorite fic you've written?

moth to light has been the reigning champ for a while now, but i think several of my current wips could potentially unseat it!

his eyes go from slits to saucers like a cats when his instincts take over. he looks very 'head empty' like this but do not be mistaken he is still an apex predator

if venti has a small wound he'll lick it to clean it, it's not a sexual thing and is kinda awkward the first time it happens but vebbi thinks it's super endearing once he realizes what's happening

in vampire au he has 'venom' he can release into his saliva, that's not really venom but i can't figure out what to call it. it numbs the area of skin it touches so he can numb vebbi's neck a bit before feeding. this also helps in the aforementioned wound licking situation bc he can make it hurt less. once again kinda awkward when xiaoxiao fed for the first time but vebbi was NOT opposed to having a hot guy lick his neck lmao. he can control when it happens tho so thankfully they can still kiss n stuff without numbing vebbi's mouth, that would suck lolll

depending on the au he either purrs or coos (depends on how bird-like i want to make him versus generic animal)

in vampire au his ears are expressive and turn down if he's upset or defensive

he preens his feathers daily and takes very good care of his wings. in vampire au he saves most of his feathers and adds them to his nest. his nest is in a deeper part of his den and nesting is a behavior that's instinctually ingrained in him even though he didn't have a mate for thousands of years, and he's kept his nest clean and comfy despite feeling that he had no reason to keep it (once again his instincts win over despite his more 'logical' side feeling otherwise about the necessity of this activity.)

before they were together he never let vebbi into the room in his den where his nest is, since that's kind of a sacred personal thing, but one night the storms were especially bad and vebbi was extremely scared. (idk if i told you this last time i talked abt this au but vebbi's parents died in a storm which is why he's so scared.) since the nest is in the deepest part of the den underground xiaoxiao let vebbi in and he felt a lot better and was able to sleep. xiaoxiao was like "sleeping in a yaaksha's nest has very strong implications so you're lucky i'm allowing this. i will sleep on the floor in the other room" and of course they end up in the nest together eventually because vebbi is very convincing and cute

one of the moments vampire xiaoxiao realizes just how much he cares about venbi (before they're together) was that he was considering filing down his talons a bit as to not accidentally hurt vebbi so easily and he had a moment of clarity like 'you want to FILE YOUR TALONS?? YOURE A HUNTER AND YOU WANT TO FILE YOUR TALONS? FOR THIS HUMAN? ARE YOU CRAZY??'

The charm family are the start of witch legacy. They are in my save file the only witches to ever exist.. I can't wait to see how big these gens will get and how cute the families will look. Brothers Conflict (Passion Pink) Part 8 - Harem End

Time for the harem end! No idea how it goes but I assume it's just like a friendship with everyone ending more than an actual harem. Awwww the Rui catching a puppy that ran away CG is pretty~~ Lmao at Iori beating Yusuke at shogi all the time. I think this route is really nice though, I really like seeing the brothers interact, especially after Fuuto's route where he literally doesn't seem to really have a brother he particularly likes or cares for lol.. He barely interacts with his brothers, it just felt so weird lol. I love seeing Azusa, Tsubaki and Natsume events tbh, I find it so cute how close they are and how much they just enjoy each other's company playing stuff like darts. Seeing Azusa laugh so happily is so sweet~ OMG I never realised I needed this, but Iori giving Ema his hand to hold when it was cold outside is probably the cutest thing ever, it's such a beautiful CG. Aww I loved the ending, it was so sweet seeing everyone set up a party celebrating Ema being here for one year, it's so nice of them, it's so touching how much everyone loves her.

Kinda went through to get the other CGs and scenarios and omgg I didn't save it so the last CG is missing in the album and I cbb going through it again (I don't know which save file it is and if I saved over it, sigh), at least I have the screenshot of it lol. Anyway, from Iori and Subaru's conversation where Iori seems to admire Subaru for knowing what he wants to do in life, it seems like even though Iori is smart and very "put together", he is actually confused about his future because he feels that the only thing he can do is study so he can have as many options as he can, but at the same time, he doesn't really know what he wants to do. I guess we'll explore that in Brilliant Blue hopefully! Otherwise omggg seeing the older brothers back in the day in high school with the photo album was cuteee.

Overall, I really enjoyed Passion Pink! I love the variety when it comes to the LIs/brothers and of course it's impossible to love everyone but I'd say I liked most of them, and enough to finish their routes I guess hahahah. My favourites in order are definitely Tsubaki, Yusuke, Masaomi, Subaru, Hikaru, Kaname, and then Fuuto. Honestly though, having to do the schedule every week from May to like April next year was probably the most annoying part of this game lolll. I really enjoyed how the Japanese for this was pretty simple so definitely beginner friendly if you only know the basics of the language. The routes are also different enough that it didn't feel repetitive (besides the common scenarios) and I did enjoy most of the events even though some like Hikaru's were kinda shallow imo. I feel so accomplished to have finished the first game in Japanese haha! Anyway, I definitely recommend Passion Pink, it was actually so much more fun than I thought it would be! Initially, I felt so overwhelmed by the schedule, and I still kinda am because it gets annoying lol, but following a walkthrough really helps to ease my mind off that haha. I love how all the routes are different and explore different stories and parts of the brothers we don’t know about, and I love how different they all are. I feel like no matter what your type is, you’ll find a few that you like haha! I would give it an 8/10, it’s simple, it’s straightforward and the romance is pretty well-balanced in most routes, and I liked most of the guys so that’s a plus haha~
